Our Doctor
Dr. Hilary Fritsch
Dr. Hilary Fritsch
Dr. Hilary Fritsch is a leading airway and biological dentist, one of the very few in the country with deep expertise in proper jaw development and airway health. She is also Montana’s premier Toothpillow provider, offering cutting-edge, nonsurgical techniques to optimize airway growth and function.
Practicing dentistry since 2006, Dr. Fritsch has been featured on The Today Show (NBC), New York Magazine, Business Insider, Pop Sugar, Fatherly, and Romper. Her passion for wellness is deeply personal—shaped by her own struggles with childhood sleep apnea and a debilitating autoimmune disease that once impaired her ability to see and even walk unassisted. These experiences fuel her commitment to helping patients and their families optimize their health through airway-focused dentistry.
Dr. Fritsch is the founder of Western Sleep Solutions and Saddle Peak Dental, both rooted in the philosophy that oral health is intricately connected to whole-body health. She specializes in nonsurgical airway development and the treatment of sleep apnea, breathing disorders, and orthodontic issues that impact long-term wellness.
Determined to bring the best possible care to her patients, Dr. Fritsch has trained under one of the most elite airway dentists in the world and continuously pursues advanced education in airway-aware orthodontics, occlusion, and oral microbiome health. She is an active member of the International Academy of Sleep and other leading organizations dedicated to uncovering the root causes of airway dysfunction.
Dr. Fritsch is passionate about educating and empowering her patients—both young and old—to take ownership of their health, breathing, and longevity.
Airway & Sleep Education Highlights
Comprehensive, Collaborative, and Root-Cause Focused
Diplomate – International Academy of Sleep (IAOS)
Earned Diplomate status through IAOS, a leading organization focused on the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing in adults using oral appliance therapy. The IAOS community meets monthly via Zoom and quarterly at in-person retreats to share research, refine protocols, and stay at the forefront of sleep medicine.
Pediatric Mini-Residency – Airway Health Solutions
Completed specialized pediatric training in early intervention, jaw and facial growth guidance, and airway development in children, guided by experts in pediatric craniofacial health.
Guided Airway-Supported Protocols (GASP)
Participating in the highly respected GASP program, studying directly with many of the top airway dentists in the nation. This collaborative group meets weekly via Zoom to discuss real cases and several times a year in person. The GASP mentorship has been the most clinically transformative training of my career, providing a root-cause framework for airway care that goes beyond traditional dental education.
Toothpillow Provider – Montana
Montana’s first and only certified Toothpillow provider. I collaborate directly with the founders and co-manage early intervention cases to help children develop wider jaws, better breathing patterns, and more restful sleep. I’ve also been a featured guest on their podcast.
Top National Provider – Candid & Vivos
Recognized as one of the most prolific providers of Candid Pro clear aligners and Vivos oral appliance therapy nationwide. I use these tools not just for cosmetic alignment, but to expand the airway, improve tongue posture, and support better sleep and breathing.
Myobrace Provider
Trained in the Myobrace system to address oral habits, promote nasal breathing, and guide facial development in growing children.
Breathing Re-education – Patrick McKeown, Buteyko Clinic International
Our in-house breathing training is informed by direct study with Patrick McKeown, founder of the Oxygen Advantage and a world-renowned expert on Buteyko breathing. Kendra, our myofunctional therapist, completed hands-on training with him in Ireland, and we incorporate functional breathing techniques into nearly every case.
IAOM Myofunctional Therapy Integration
Our team includes a myofunctional therapist trained by the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), allowing for fully integrated airway, habit, and breathing support in both pediatric and adult cases.
Continuing Education Commitment
We dedicate at least one hour every week to continuing education in airway, sleep, craniofacial growth, and functional breathing. Staying current with the latest research and clinical innovations is a core part of our practice philosophy.
Additional Airway Training
In this emerging field, finding the right training—under experienced, forward-thinking providers—is essential. In addition to GASP and Toothpillow mentorship, I’ve completed training through SPEAR Education and other programs focused on facial growth, though it was clinical collaboration with top airway dentists that truly shaped my approach.
